The RAM 3500 was meant to tow and haul thanks to a selection of three engine options available under the hood. The standard 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine delivers 410 horsepower - best in its class - and 429 pound-feet, good enough to produce a maximum tow capacity of 18,210 pounds. Upgrading to the 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine increases the torque output to 850 pound-feet and maximum towing to 22,670 pounds, while the 6.7-liter High Output diesel engine cranks performance up to 400 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. With these engine output numbers, the RAM 3500 can manage up to 35,100 pounds of towing and up to 6,570 pounds in its payload. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and available four-wheel drive, the RAM 3500 is a truck without peer!
