How John Hinderer CDJR Supports The Heath Community at Our OH Jeep Dealership
Many people need a helping hand at some point in their lives, and food insecurity is a lot more common than we tend to think it is. In fact, as many as 9,000 people right here in our area struggle with food insecurity in a given month. The stress that comes from being unable to provide for yourself or your family can have a massively negative effect on a person’s sense of pride and mental well-being, but the good news is that help is available.
The Food Pantry Network operates right here in Licking County to provide help for people in neighborhoods in the local area. Operating since 1981, this volunteer-run organization has more than four decades of experience in doing important charitable work and has served more than 5,000,000 pounds of food to individuals and families in our local area, giving them relief from food insecurity so that they can focus on other things they need to better their lives.
Doing Our Part to Support This Great Cause
The work that the Food Pantry Network does immediately resonated with the values that guide us as a business, so we knew we wanted to do our part to help them with the vital work they do. That’s why we decided to mark our annual Month of Gratitude in November with a drive to help the Food Pantry Network get the resources they need to help people struggling with food insecurity. We turned to our generous customers for help with this important goal.
We couldn’t have been more humbled by the response we received from this community. Throughout the month, people from all over our region dropped off thousands of canned goods that will help stock the Food Pantry Network’s locations with goods that will be distributed to people in need here in our neighborhoods. The fact that this assistance comes during the holiday season makes it all the more meaningful to those in need of some aid.
