A graphic with photos of the Jeep Gladiator and the text: Get to Know the 2023 Jeep Gladiator

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is a vehicle built to handle the outdoors. It has impressive towing capabilities, excellent performance, and room for cargo.

Performance

The Gladiator’s engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower. It comes with either a standard six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. With the right configuration, the Gladiator reaches a best-in-class maximum torque of 442 lb.-ft.

It has a longer body this year, similar to the Wrangler, with 19.4 inches between the front wheels and rear tires. This helps the Gladiator handle even better, particularly when out on the trails.

Towing Capabilities

With the right setup, this Jeep reaches a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. The frailest Gladiator can still tow 4,000 pounds, which is more than many of its competitors, including the Jeep Wrangler. The Gladiator can handle a 1,710-pound payload.

Available is the option for Jeep’s ParkView. This is a rear backup camera display. It shows a zoomed-in view of the trailer hitch to help you align the trailer correctly the first time.

Cargo Space

There is a cargo area in the back. Jeep has designed this space to be versatile while being aware that many people bring the Gladiator on camping trips. There are many available add-ons you can purchase to better organize this space. They include the Trail Rail Cargo Management System with cargo baskets.

The tailgate itself can be positioned in three different ways. This allows you to pack luggage, sheet cargo, or move the tailgate flat for long items. Most people will be able to sleep in the cargo space in a sleeping bag with the tailgate all the way up.

Rugged Capabilities

Drivers love this Jeep for its rugged capabilities. For the 2023 model, the 11.6″ ground clearance is a big part of that. Climbing over boulders is just easier in this vehicle. There are also skid plates and available 33-inch tires.

To get close up with that outdoor adventure, the Gladiator offers door and roof options. There is an available option for half-doors, or the standard doors are completely removable. For the roof, many drivers choose the optional Sunrider for Hardtop: a three-piece roof that opens to the sky.

Infotainment

Jeep uses the Uconnect4 system on their 7.0-inch or optional 8.4-inch touchscreen displays. These have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. The system has voice recognition. Available is the option for Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.

The car’s stereo system can be upgraded to include a subwoofer. There is also the option for a portable wireless speaker which connects behind the back seat of the Gladiator.

The Gladiator is the kind of Jeep people associate with the brand. It’s great for the outdoors and an easy vehicle to love. Visit John Hinderer Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram to test drive this rugged truck.
